Georgina is the Technical Sales Manager for Young Animal Feed for Europe and Central Asia, working for Trouw Nutrition. Georgina graduated from the University of Nottingham before entering the feed industry to work as a ruminant nutritionist. Georgina has developed a passion for early life nutrition and now has a focus on the development and formulation of milk replacers for young calves. Georgina works to translate cutting edge science and research into practical on farm solutions that help to elevate calf performance to the next level.

Choline: A Key Nutrient for a Successful Transition, More Colostrum, More Milk, and Improved Calf Growth
Dr. Sion Richards hails from a farm in North Wales and holds a degree in Animal Science from the University of Nottingham. He furthered his studies at the same institution, earning a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry.
Thereafter, he worked for Provimi as a Commercial Ruminant Nutritionist and later as Research and Technical Manager. He then transitioned to the UK feed industry, taking on roles as a Technical Manager and Senior Dairy Cow Nutritionist.
His expertise expanded during his tenure at DSM Nutritional Products, where he was the Senior Ruminant Specialist and Ruminant Markets Manager for EMEA. Following this, he joined Adisseo as the Ruminant Technical Manager for Europe. Currently, Dr. Richards is the Ruminant Technical Services Manager for EMEA at Balchem.
With over 25 years of both practical and technical ruminant nutrition expertise, Dr. Richards brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his field.

Concentrates: the dos and don’ts
Andy comes from an extended farming family in Dorset and Somerset. A graduate of the Royal Agricultural College and Harper Adams University, Andy has been working in the UK Agricultural industry for 15 years, with previous practical and commercial experience. Andy has a passion for driving farms forward through the use of technology and adoption of latest research. Andy is actively involved in dairy, beef and sheep farms across the South West whilst also managing an organic portfolio. Andy is FAR registered and holds a Diploma of Ruminant Nutrition.
Mollie comes from her family’s dairy farm in Wiltshire. She graduated from Reading University in 2023 with a degree in agriculture, during this time she undertook research looking at the impact colostrum quality has on growth and disease. Her passion is youngstock, you’ll often find her in a calf shed and talking about Britannia!
Feeding for the Future: How Preweaning Nutrition Shapes Lifetime Dairy Performance
Nacia graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Agricultural and Livestock Science and gained practical calf-rearing experience while working at the University’s Dairy Centre post graduation. She joined Trouw Nutrition as a milk replacer formulator, specialising in young animal nutrition, before progressing into a range of technical and commercial roles, including responsibility for sustainability and digital solutions. Nacia combines formulation expertise with hands-on farm experience, helping customers apply the latest nutritional science to improve calf performance, health and lifetime productivity.

Measure, Manage, Improve: The Road to Better Calf Health at Puxton Park
I qualified in 2018 and have always had a particular interest in youngstock and calf health. I joined George Farm Vets in 2022, where I’ve been able to develop this interest further through working closely with dairy herds and their youngstock.
I started working with the Lynchmead herd 18 months ago, and since then we have worked closely as a team to improve calf mortality, health and overall performance. I’m looking forward to sharing some of the progress we’ve made and discussing the practical steps that have helped drive these improvements.

Louise Hall is a Territory Manager at Virbac, looking after the farm and equine portfolio. Louise’s favourite product is Multimin because she loves how it empowers farmers to be proactive rather than reactive with herd health. At the upcoming Calf Day, Louise will be discussing how this unique, four-in-one trace mineral injection of zinc, copper, manganese, and selenium helps bridge the “trace mineral gap” during high-demand periods like weaning and vaccination. Louise has over 8 years of experience in sales and extensive experience with large animals, having started her career on a dairy farm at age 16 and recently spent time working out in New Zealand.
